I believe I'm finished with racing for the remainder of 2008. However, I did sign up for Mountain Mist 50k yesterday. This race is in Jan-09. So I will have a little down time, then I really have to bring more fitness into these races for 09. I know I can improve my fitness 20-30%. It's just do I have the will power to do it. I've proved to myself I can go sub 5hrs on very little fitness and miles. I know not a lot of people could do it on my style of training. However, I do know that to go anywhere near 4-4:30 hrs. on a 50k course I will have to ramp it up! My big concern is to keep it fun and enjoyable but yet respectable. Stay injury free and enjoy other areas of my life. I also want to do some different races this next year. That's why Mt. Mist in Alabama. (plus so many friends will be there) Not sure about
February..the race in Ky was snow covered last year so maybe this next year it will be dry. Or I could do the Memphis race too. So many races out there that are so tempting. We'll see.
