Last Week

Since I'm racing a 5K on Wednesday July 4th, I'm treating my days a little different this week. Tuesday I did my last hard track workout of 2 x 1 mile...did these fairly fast but they felt good. Times of 5:42 and 5:39. Then followed those with 2 x 400's of 1:13 and 1:15. Yesterday, I did my long run. The 11.2 mile loop of Percy Warner Park. This has become a favorite route. I'm sure plenty of runners over the years have felt the same way. It's challenging enough but with plenty of opportunities to recover. Plus you can check your splits as the miles are marked!
Again was happy to have company on this training run as there were not many of folks out in the heat at 2pm.:)
