This post is a more complete race report of my last race, The Malibu Creek 50K, along with some photos. Hope you enjoy. As you can see it was a beautiful course. The first photo is of me finishing. 16th overall! In my opinion it was a tough course, maybe the hardest 50K course to date? It's so hard to tell sometimes, but this race is right up there with the hardest I've done.
The next photo shows why I think this course may be the hardest. The elevation was sick!! Of course, I enjoyed it only as J-Pro can. My wish is for those who run with me to come out next year. There is a 25K option and if you are not up for racing, just hike the thing. You will have the most beautiful views ever, I promise.
In this photo you are looking back from the finish line from where you came. Yes, on top of that then down and around twice. It was a awesome day as you can see, breezy, 65F and sunny. Kind of like it never is in Nashville lately!!!!So to recap, I raced OK, not great. Had to take a pit stop that cost me some time on the first lap. An aside to that is I picked up some poison oak from that stop. Just now has subsided enough for me to write about it as I've been trying to only have good vibes toward it. I'm highly allergic and it freaking itched. Had it on my right backside (arse) and arm. Thank God for the new poison oak/ivory wash that relives the itch.

So this time, the give away will be a paid entry fee to a local 5K up to 15K race. If you win, you have to use within 3 months and the race has to be in this county(Davidson) or one touching it..so the surrounding area. That simple! and I thought the 11.2 was hilly :) Great race! Now if only you had brought some of that nice weather back with you... :)
After that, why don't you find a 50k in Flordia? Heat doesn't bother you : )
Dang Johnny, that elevation map makes my bike legs hurt, let alone running it. Good thing you consider the 11.2 a flat/fast course. HAHA. At this rate, you'll be totally ready for the 50 miler.
