Buddhist View

It's almost mid May and I have not been enjoying my fitness. The main reason is this 1" slice in my foot...it was 2" so I guess I'm healing. I have a pretty good pain tolerance. However, this little wound is chronic low grade pain for most of the day. Then when I train on it...ACUTE PAIN..hello. At least for the first mile then it's tolerable. What sucks is the nerves in my foot always telling me it''s there, always reminding me. That is why I have not been able to enjoy my MAY as it happened May 1st...it is MAY 11th.

The Buddhist view: There is nothing that is permanent. All things come and go. Some longer, some not so long. Maybe this pain will make me look else where for balance or other missing things in my life. Also the pain can remind me not to become so attached to it, training or my physical self, allowing me to turn inward emotionally and/or spiritually.

So today, I will strive to enjoy this awesome day of May 11, 2010

Hmmm..I could get some and take but I also take Ibuprofen. Doctors say do not mix the two or you will lose your superpowers and become mortal...and develop some weird medical condition.
