go down with me and help crew. Graham to drive down Saturday and pace the
last 11 miles with me.
I had two goals for this race. Neither of which would have been even remotely
obtainable if it wasn't for these two. I was lucky to have them both!
GOAL #1: Go sub 6 hrs!
racers who go sub 5hrs get a yellow shirt. Racers who go under 6
hours receive a blue shirt, my goal! John gave me splits every 5
miles, and we were on pace. However we both were calculating for
40 miles, not 41.2. It was too close for comfort. I was the last blue
shirt winner. 5:59hrs
GOAL #2: A top 10 finish. I was in 10th place with two miles to go. However,
I was hurting and slowing. Two runners passed me within those two
miles, dropping me to 12th.

Great Job Johnny! We are proud of you. However, this does not count as "blogging about the race." I mean, surely something exciting happened over 41 miles!!! haha
Amy,
No, nothing exciting happened over forty one miles. I try not to get too excited about what goes down in races. But I will give you some highlights!
1. I thought everyone went out too fast, except me.
2. The area (bedford county was beautiful.
3. Was more support there than I thought it would be.
4. The course was very hilly, but not as bad as people talked.
5. I did'nt walk a single step or use the bathroom the entire race.
6.
