So once again this course took it's toll on me..around mile 17 my lower quad decided to just stop working and every step was nothing but pain. So when I'm no longer racing I DNF. A knowledgeable friend tells me a DNF stands for "DID NOTHING FATAL"
With the grand canyon looming in my mind and future (like 20 days) I knew it was best for me to walk it in. I dropped at Indian Rock house. Somewhat bummed as I was having a great race and hitting my splits, maybe even a little fast?
Was at the bridge in 38minutes and the road in 56ish. Made it to mile ten around 1:41
So next year, I'll need to "bring it" back to that race. Now I need to recover somewhat. Get my R2R2R2 then plan out some future races.
