24 days....That is how long the running streak has been going. As far as I know , no one has dropped out. Although with this bunch of runners I do not see any dropping for awhile.
Doctor's appointment tomorrow. Yea!!! So a complete physical plus a prostate exam. Most will know what that means. Haven't I already had someone do that to me recently...geez, but need to get all that done and hopefully come out with a clean bill of health.
Ran with Eric, Chris and Ted today on the B2B training run. Averaged right at 7 ish min/miles(1:42 ish)..not to bad as I had new shoes which gave me a hot spot. That and I have not ran on the road like that in awhile. Good for me to do it!!! Let my training begin!!! and right now I feel great!!
The 1st give away is history, so be commenting on what you would like to see be giving away next.

Going into my 3rd week of 2010

The weather here has been freaking freezing. So this past Friday I went and did Hot Yoga for the first time. I've been telling myself to do this for the longest. My body loved the 1 hour long class. So warm and toasty inside plus a great workout too! Has anyone who reads this blog done this style of Yoga? If so, let me know
what you think?
I'm going into my 3rd week of training. I feel totally fat. I guess from eating too
much Holiday food and not running as many miles. My body is still beat up as
I'm having left foot issues, along with other weird health related issues that are
requiring me to call and schedule an appointment with my Doctor. So, other
than that I feel like I'm on schedule for 2010.
2010 racing: Feb: BLACK WARRIOR 50K (ALABAMA)
Mar: SYCAMORE CANYON 50K (CALIFORNIA)
April:
May: NORTH FACE 50 miler (NEW YORK)

2009 almost over!!!
It's the time of year when most people reflect back on the past 12 months. Did they meet their goals, resolutions etc..maybe even ask."where did the time go"? 2009 did go by fast. I know I will spend sometime reflecting back, on my travels, the races I did, on goals I met and goals I didn't meet.
I've also will spend some time looking toward 2010. New races, new places and adventures. I have a lot on my plate. My concern is to be able to enjoy it, be at peace with it and rest in what God has given me, which is a lot.
I've never been a New Year's Eve party person. Always preferred to bring it in gently, maybe dinner with special people around. I plan on having that again this year, as a few of us are planning on getting together to bring in the New Year with food, ping pong, etc...all athletes. Which is cool! There is also this Yoga/Meditation/Drumming/Chanting thing I'd like to explore too on New Year's day? We'll see.
I've been really enjoying my yoga as of late. My yoga instructor even wants me to coach her and her boyfriend to their first Marathon. Of course, I agreed to that and I'm excited to see them cross the line in their time goal!
This is my second week from doing the 50 mile race. My body feels better, My emotional state..?? still a question. Don't want to suffer from burn out and just hate running. So I've been to the climbing gym a few times, but definitely need to cross train more as I ease back into training. Ok, maybe one more post to close out this year!!! Got to go train now!
