RACE REPORT

It's been a few days since Stump Jump..so here is a brief race report and a photo of me at mile 20 (Indian rock House) dnf-ing. You can see me wincing in "Pain" ha! So, other than the blister I was in good position and feeling awesome. I was at Mushroom rock in 42min? and at Suck Creek road at 52min. Made it to Indian Rock House (mile 10.4) in 1:42 with a large group in front of me, which included overall women's winner Jacklyn Greenhill. So I knew I was where I wanted to be. At mile 12 they said I was 29 min back of the front runner. However, this is where I started feeling the trouble in my forefoot. At mile 15 aid station (Haley rd) I was at 2:50 as I had slowed but was still OK time wise. There I lanced my foot and hobbled back to Indian rock house in 3:40. (goal at this point was 3:15-20) No regrets. Always another race and gives me lots to look forward too. Maybe 3rd time will be the charm at Stump Jump. Looking to do the NASHVILLE ULTRA Oct 18.
