The race started on the road for about a mile before diverting to the trail. Gave the runners a chance to spread out some. The photo above is at the race start. My plan was to chill, go out at an easy pace around 7:30/mile and just hold it there. I beat my time from last year by 2 minutes coming in at 1:37. Coming in 14th overall and placing 2nd in the Masters Division which is like an age group placing to me.
AllI care about is how I did overall and was it a top 10.
This race is ran on Raccoon Mountain. I should say the top of it. It's a fast trail with some good rolling sections. I still feel I have not ran my best here. In June I get another chance because the 2nd day is on this course. I have no excuses.!!
