I have plans to run another
Ultra on March 8th. So recovery and testing my ability to recover is very important right now. I do not feel any side effects from this past
Saturday's race. Maybe a little soreness but you get that from a 5K or a good effort in the gym.
Sunday was a easy recovery run of 6 miles in great temps. I believe it got up to 70F. Awesome!!
Monday, I did my movement prep exercises, yoga and 30 minutes on the spin bike.
Tuesday was core training and a 5 mile day with 8 x 200m thrown in at 45 sec. each to put some speed back into my legs.
Recovery is different for everyone but I do believe adequate hydration is key. Oh.. and plenty of sleep which I've been able to do and plenty of coffee. I do actually a lot on the recovery side but do not share all that I've learned in 15 years of endurance sports.
