

Race went so so! I was doing my thing, running slow at the pace of 4:50/50K when the wheels came off around mile 23-25..just bonked big time. Could have been I needed more fuel (liquids and food) who knows? I had to stop and pee during so thought I was hydrated enough. But definitly hit the wall. Oh well, it was just part of my training, although I thought I'd do better than last year (5:09) Posted a 5:25? but at least felt better up to the point I crashed and burned...man, I freaking suffered those last miles..I was at 4:50 at mile 28.5..so that should tell you as it took me that long to run the last 2.5 miles. I look like some people back home who are not runners running.:) Like I just ate at Cracker Barrel or something?
Still 6 weeks until Stump Jump so on schedule. The photos are of me playing on the water afterward..the cold Pacific helps with recovery. Getting a massage today as I'm pretty sore. Again, due to the fact most of my miles these last few weeks have been road miles and not trails so that is something to change.
Other than that California is the same..had coffee with the same group of dudes at malibu kitchen this morning, plan on driving Ferrari around this afternoon..just your typical LA, California Sunday as most out here are into cars, motorcycles and fitness!!!! I LOVE IT
