Too many Late Nights!

I got my 65 miles in this week. One for sure...I can't be living on both ends of the candle! My motto in the past and currently has always been train hard - party hard..but sometimes that is not always the best. So my goal the rest of the month and rest of the year is to tone down the drinking, eating and going out! Just try to stay focused on the Zen-ness of running and the change of seasons.

Also to work on the fitness book that has basically been dropped in my lap. Met with the publishers last week and recently met a free lance person looking for work editor type who says they will help me arrange the words so they are readable.:)..HaHa..anyway it will be a fun project over the cold days and come spring.." A BOOK!! will not be on running but will emphasize general fitness and focus on really how easy it is to exercise...as always people way over analyze everything. Fitness should basically be like running...put on your shoes and run out the door!

As far as the food, maybe my body needed some extra calories! I've been feeling a little run down. On Saturday entered some home made chili into Todd's annual chili cook off and it took 1st place. The only bad thing was I only got a small taste during the cooking process. Of course it was all gone that night. I would also like to thank Ted Towse for hosting a great dinner party Sunday night attended by some super fast runners. The vegetarian lasagna was awesome and I couldn't get enough of that and the Indian appetizer..simply awesome..but came home way to full! Something about this time of year makes one want to eat..got to figure that one out??
