My week has been very low on running and exercise in general.
Sun-5 miles
Mon-7 miles + light wts
Tue-5 miles + yoga
Wed-off
Thu-off
Fri-5 miles easy
Sat-RACE
I've been basically going over and over in my head about my split times and where I should be on the course at certain moments. Trying to get the map of the course into my head. At least the first 40 miles in my head. I also started packing my drop bags and backpack..wondering just what do I need? (ibuprofen, gels, rain gear, headlamp, etc etc..) I do consider myself a minimalist runner but I believe this go round the more in those bags may be wise thing. I've checked out the weather too. Seriously,at this point I really don't care..sunny or raining,whatever?. I'm so numbed out currently, it just really does not matter to me. Sometimes, I'm wishing it to be the worst weather possible to run in. Current conditions: Drizzle and 47. Whatever I wake to I'll accept. I'm not in control of that.... So many have asked? "Why do it? Why run so far? I'll answer with this ZEN poem:
