Seems I always start the year down in Alabama..site of the Black Warrior 50K. Just a cool, low key event to see if my winter training has paid off. To get a look at what I need to do coming into the season. I placed 10th in 2010 with a slow 5:10 or something. Never felt strong but never felt weak in this race. A decent outing! I also received my ROCK CREEK race kit that race, as 2010 I was selected to race for them. (photo#1 running in at Black Warrior)
Out to California a few times in 2010. Had my best race at the BULLDOG 50K, finally breaking 5hrs there. That trip was awesome. I do remember that race beating up my legs some. Lesson is you can't train down hill running enough. Especially out there!! (photo#2 me at Bulldog)
2010 the year I got a motorcycle. It sure doesn't look like the picture you see now. I did a complete overhaul on it. Took off the cheesy items that probably make it safe to ride on the roads. Unlike my bicycle, I kept the brakes!!! (Photo#3 me and the bike)
2010 was also my first ever "MASTERS WIN"..I'll take it. Really I just like placing high on the overall list. I actually came in 14th here at the 60 mile stage race. (photo#4 JPRO's first Masters)
Back out to California where I finished out 2010 with a top 10 overall at the Catalina Trail Marathon. Logistically could have been a disaster, but on this trip everything worked to perfection. Even the waves cooperated when I went paddle boarding the next day!! (photo#5 me in SoCal)
So there you go. A few highlights of 2010. As always, the year went by in a blurr.

Looks like it was a successful year of ultras for you Johnny. Get the shoes figured out and tweak a few things and you'll improve even more
