Winter Times....??? TASHKA 50K RESULTS

So I sit here at the coffee shop wondering where is the warm weather of this past Saturday. Now there is 2" of snow outside and its like 13F.
I prefer HOT weather and this is not it. So I warm myself up with a Vanilla latte (see photo below) and hang inside the coffee shop with the wanna be musicians, students and anarchist.

This past Saturday I raced around this lake. 31 miles of rolling terrain and actually had a great run up until mile 18 or so. It was then I jumped over a mud puddle and really pulled a lower lower abdominal muscle. weird? I never pulled anything really while racing and this snapped(actually heard it and for sure didn't feel right the rest of the race)...I was very sore for the next 24 hours. I'll head over to Vanderbilt Sports medicine and see what they think today. It already feels 100% better.

This is me slow running it in to the finish line. I was really happy to be done with this race, last race of the year for me. I believe I raced 8 ultra events. I wanted a 4:40ish time figuring this would place me in the top 3. I came in with a 5:14 and still placed 5th so I'll take it. Owen Bradley broke 4hrs and friend Cody ran for second place in his first 50K, so really proud of him .
