MY WINTER SUMMIT OF PIKE'S PEAK

I laid off running all week due to being injured. So, I thought treking up Pike's Peak would be an easier way to maintain my fitness than doing other cross training, bike, rowing etc....

So I contacted Tom Jagger who has been up around 100 times and asked if he'd help guide me up since it is January and I thought I may not find the trail due to snow. I had snow shoes but really did'nt need them. We did have to break trail a few miles after Barr Camp but all went well.

I did'nt experience any altitude sickness, my gear selection was perfect and had a blast climbing up and down all day. The last few hours were under a perfect January night sky. The lights of Manitou Springs down below and the moon above reflecting off the snow gave us plenty of light, so we did'nt have to use our headlamps.

All in all an fantasitic experience. Wish everyone could have been with me and experince this adventure...pure ultimate awesomness
