MASTER'S WIN at Columbia 15K

Yes I took the overall Master's win down in Columbia 15K trail race but that's not news. I always want to know how far I was out of first place or top 10 depending on the race. I took 7th overall in 1:12ish...

What is IMPORTANT is that I ran at a faster pace with NO PAIN...meaning NO PAIN!!! you don't know how that feels unless you've been there. Finally I was able to run with relative ease on the downhills and open up a bit. I was always aware of the injury as it's still there. On this outing my goal was to stay at 7:30 pace the whole way which is basically what I did. At mile 8 I was at 1:01 so pretty close.

So it looks like I'm healing, especially in the last month. I will now continue with training as normal and as fast as my body will let me. Listening to my body as to prevent set backs. Next up will be the ROCK CREEK Stage Race in June with some test races before then, maybe the RC trail marathon in late May.

Also thanks a lot to Jadyen's father-in-law who had some fresh brewed coffee at the
finish line. Awesome way to end a run!!!
