Memorial Day turned out awesome! Got up early and went to the JCC triathlon. Although I'm not into multi-sport any longer it's always nice to go to an event and see some old friends. Some I have not seen in years. It's also cool to see beginners be so into a sport and everyone cheering them on. I raced USCF cycling for so long I forgot people actually cheer on everyone from 1st to last place. I got word later on in the day that one of the athletes I work with (Emily Ryan) won her first 5k of the season. We just started working together and I know with her training ethic and athletic ability she will only get better.

I went to the park to do the 5.8 loop that afternoon (2nd workout of the day) and Rob Allison is standing there like he's waiting for me. We do the first 2 miles together. I used to train with Rob years ago so it was really nice to chat and catch up. He actually lives in Columbus, Oh. This has happened to me like three times in the last 6 weeks where someone I know just happens by to train with. Must be a sign!

Then on to Steve's for the big Memorial Day/Birthday bash...although I only have iced coffee and icing.:) off the cup cakes!
