Californication

I sometimes wonder how different my life would have been if I'd stayed in California the first time I came out here in 1978? I won't dwell on that thought too long. However I will give some brief highlights of my visit. My last run was on the bulldog trail at Malibu Creek State Park, an awesome location in the Santa Monica Mountains. It's where the TV show Mash and Tarzan movies were filmed. Besides training I did take in a local theater production, surfed, shopped, had some great dinners and of course sat in many coffee shops. One bummer of the trip was that one of my favorite coffee shops (Diedricks) was bought out by Starbucks..Hope to make it back to SoCal soon!
