Another fantastic four day weekend (Thursday-Sunday) Life for me is sacred, however, and I do not know if it's this time of year (Holiday's) or people's attitude, but anyway life feels more meaningful. As a follower of Buddhism I should feel this way all the time..but this blog is about fitness.
Thursday- I had an early wake up call and did a chilly 8 miler(easy) on the horse trails followed by another 5 miler that afternoon. (it was warmer and I was more awake).
Friday-did another double which included a great easy run with good friends and training partners Jamie and Steve. We all agreed we need to run together more often as we seem to be training for different events. Friday evening I watched the Rudolph 5K as I had a few friends registered and it was great to watch all the runners dressed up in costume.
Saturday- I ran with a Eric, Maureen and Patrick( all sub 3 hr marathoners). I let them put the hurt on me and it's always a good way to test my fitness.
Sunday-I thought I was running in the spring time as the weather was close to 70F. Anyway I did the 11 mile loop on the road with a good 2 mile LT pace in the middle and my legs felt awesome.
I topped off the weekend with massive amounts of sushi and fell asleep feeling blessed!
