Tashka 50K -again

Headed down to Alabama to do one more 50K this year! This is the race where I injured myself and it's awesome to say I'm still injured one year later. I have improved somewhat but there is so much I just can't do with much pain. It's put my bull riding plans on hold to some degree. Anyway, the good news is that there is a lot I can do and I have seen improvements, all without surgery too!

I'm going to try out some new trail shoes too on this course. It's a non technical trail and we'll see how these new balance shoes will do!!

Maybe next year I will feel even better.

Tashka 50K

One more race this year for 2010. Headed to the great state of ALABAMA to race the
Tashka Trail 50k (http://tashka50k.com/default.aspx). Then I will take off for the remainder of the year.

Had great news from this weekend. One of the athletes I coach ran her first marathon on Sunday. (Las Vegas) She posted a 3:29 and qualified for Boston. So proud of her efforts as she really is a cyclist and wanted to do this marathon on her off season. Now it's back on the bike for her and I'm sure she'll have a great 2011 season.

Here locally had a few friends race but only know of Julie's time from the Memphis Marathon..(3:37 I believe)..who also qualified for Boston..awesome job...just have not heard from anyone else.

Here in Nashville it really feels like winter. Its just freaking cold. Doing my best to embrace it. I do this by purchasing new gear (cold weather of course) thinking about athletes I know who do winter sports, really anything to get me out the door. I also focus on yoga and some inside training..core ,kettle bell work etc..
